It was a good week for Nasc's clients with lots of positive decisions coming through. Some of our highlights this week were the grant of Permanent Residence Cards to the parents-in-law of an EU citizen, two applications for residence for parents of Irish citizens were granted and we received our first grant under the International Humanitarian Admission Programme (IHAP) for one of our clients.
We were particularly delighted with the IHAP grant. The family had previously made an application for IHAP in 2018 and had been refused. Nasc assisted the refugee in Ireland with the second application. The family members in Syria, a woman and her minor children, are very excited about the prospect of coming to Ireland. They had been living in very difficult and dangerous circumstances for several years. Nasc will continue to work with the family to secure visas and travel documents and we're looking forward to welcoming them to Ireland soon.
