Eilís Ní Laoi

New Beginnings Social Worker

Eilis Ni Laoi

Eilís Ní Laoi holds a Master of Social Work (MSW), HDip Social Policy and a Bmus (Hons) from University College Cork. She is also a Cambridge accredited English Language Teacher and has a background in restaurant management. Eilís volunteered with Nasc as a part of The Connect Project in 2018-2020. Eilís returned to Nasc in 2021 in her role as a social worker with The New Beginnings Project to work with children and families exiting direct provision and with newly reunited refugee families. She has a special interest in the rights of asylum seeking and refugee women and completed her thesis at post graduate level on the Feminisation of Migration and Asylum.
