Sinéad MacArtain

Sinéad holds a Bachelor of Law and LL.M. from University College Cork, and subsequently qualified as a lawyer in the US and Canada.
After working in corporate and employment law in Canada, in 2021 and 2022 Sinéad worked with two NGOs supporting asylum seekers on Lesvos, Greece. Here, her primary role was to advocate for asylum seekers by highlighting gaps in the asylum process that impacted on human rights both at national and European levels, through report drafting, assisting with the preparation of complaints to the European Court of Human Rights, and awareness-raising campaigns in collaboration with international NGO networks.
Sinéad joined Nasc in November 2022 to coordinate Nasc’s role as Co-Chair of the 2023 Annual Tripartite Consultations on Resettlement (ATCR), taking place from June 26 to 28 in Geneva, Switzerland.
