Yasmin Sinclair holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from University College Cork (UCC). During her studies, she completed a medical social work placement at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa, and wrote her thesis on gender-based violence. She also undertook additional studies in sustainable development and completed UCC’s consent-focused Bystander Intervention Programme, reflecting her longstanding commitment to equality, human rights, and the prevention of violence.
Before joining Nasc, Yasmin worked in child protection social work, domestic abuse support services, and complementary wellness therapies, bringing a compassionate, holistic approach to supporting individuals and families.
Yasmin joined Nasc in early 2025 as a Family Integration Support Worker on the New Beginnings Project, where she supported children and families as they transitioned from Direct Provision and helped newly reunited refugee families navigate the challenges of building a new life together in Ireland.
In 2026, Yasmin took on the role of Roma Education Link Worker as part of the pilot Cork Roma Project. In this role, she works alongside Roma children, young people, and their families to support access to education and help address barriers to participation.
Yasmin is passionate about empowering people and communities and has a particular interest in promoting and protecting the rights of women and children. She is committed to working in partnership with families, advocating for inclusion, and helping to create opportunities for people to thrive.
