Nasc is delighted to support Cork Communities in Action, a free, family-friendly event celebrating the people and organisations that strengthen communities across Cork.
Taking place on the International Day of Charity, Saturday, 5 September, from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm at Bishop Lucey Park, 25 Grand Parade, Cork (T12 H244), the event will bring together community and voluntary organisations for an afternoon of music, creative performances, family activities and opportunities to connect with local groups.
Visitors will have the chance to discover the wide range of services and supports provided by community and voluntary organisations across Cork. From early years and youth services to disability support, arts and culture, climate action, community development, sport and services for older people, the event highlights the vital role these organisations play in helping people and communities thrive.
At a time when many people are looking for connection and belonging, Cork Communities in Action offers an opportunity to celebrate the power of community and the positive impact of the voluntary and community sector. It is a chance to meet the organisations making a difference every day and to learn more about how people can get involved in their local communities.
