Dr. Wei Xiong

Dr. Wei Xiong is a Lecturer in Economics in the Department of Management and Enterprises at Munster Technological University (MTU). She is also an academic researcher in Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence (MTU) in the areas of education economics,  economic evaluation, silver economy, blue economy, and entrepreneurship education. Her PhD explored foreign study decision making processes for international students, a special group of immigrants and a minority group in Irish tertiary education, and evaluated their investment and return on education. Wei is actively involved in projects at European level which covers the fields, such as women entrepreneurship, ageing economy, blue bio-economy and, and entrepreneurship in marine sector.
